  1. Whole cell lysates from cells treated with 100 μg/ml L.obtusiloba extract, 125 ng/ml human IGF-1 or a combination of both for 48 h and from untreated cells as control were analyzed by western-blot specific for VEGF and HIF-1α. β-Actin was stained for equal loading control and specific band intensities were normalized to β-actin. VEGF and HIF-1α protein expression levels were calculated in relation to the respective untreated cells.
