Effect of COE on H. pylori infection-induced methylation status and expression of PDCD4 gene. (a) The methylation status of the PDCD4 promoter induced by COE determined via the MSP assay. U-non-methylated product; M-methylated product. (b) PDCD4 protein levels after COE treatment was detected by western blot analysis. The relative density was normalized to GAPDH, which was determined by densitometric analysis. (c) PDCD4 mRNA levels after COE treatment was detected by RT-PCR.
