Effects of an ERK inhibitor (PD98059) on PHME-stimulated lipolysis. a Fully differentiated 3T3-L1 adipocytes were treated with 200 μg/mL PHME alone or in the presence of 50 μM PD98059 for 12 h, then contents of glycerol released into the medium were quantified. b Fully differentiated 3T3-L1 adipocytes were treated with 200 μg/mL PHME alone or in the presence of 50 μM PD98059 for 20 h, then cells were lysed, and then ERK phosphorylation and expression of perilipin were measured using western blotting analysis.
