The BuOH fraction (BuOH fr.) was suspended in distilled water and orally administered. Paw edema was induced 30 min after the subplantar injection of 1% (w/v) carrageenan in buffer saline. The paw edema was measured before (predose) and at intervals of 1, 3, and 5 h after the carrageenan injection. Indomethacin was used as a reference agent. Values are expressed in percent increase of paw before the carrageenan injection and mean ± SEM from 8 animals in the treatment group. * p < 0.05, **p < 0.01 vs. control
