Results shown represent the change in G6Pase (a) and GS (b) activity observed after overnight treatment of H4IIE and HepG2 cells with maximum non-toxic concentration of control (CJ) and fermented (FJ) blueberry juice (both at 5 μg/mL) and the seven fractions yielded from FJ (at 5 μg/mL). Results are expressed relative to DMSO (0.1%) vehicle control (a: 0% inhibition; b: 100 % activity). Insulin (100 nM) was used as a positive control. **: p<0.01 and ***: p<0.001 significantly different from DMSO (n=3 in triplicates)
