Immunomodulatory effects of uMakhonya® at doses of 100 and 10 μg/mL on the secretion of 12 inflammatory cytokines over 24 h in PBMCs pre-treated with PHA (20 μg/mL) for 2 h. UMakhonya® significantly increased (p < 0.05) the secretion of IL-1α, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-10, TNFα, and GM-CSF when compared cyclosporine-only treatment. IL-2 secretion was not significantly affected (p > 0.05) by the addition of uMakhonya® compared to that observed for PHA plus cyclosporine treatment
