From: Anti-lipoapoptotic effects of Alisma orientalis extract on non-esterified fatty acid-induced HepG2 cells

Fig. 5

Fatty acid synthase (FASN) and acetyl-CoA carboxylase 1 (ACC1) protein expression levels. Lipogenesis-related protein regulatory effects of AOE in HepG2 cells. Cell lysates were obtained using NP40 lysis buffer and 15 μg of protein was loaded on a 12 % SDS-PAGE gel. After separation, proteins were transferred to PVDF membrane. a Western blots were attached by anti-FASN or anti-ACC1 respectively and their attached proteins were detected using Davinci-K chemiluminescence detector. b The dectected proteins of FASN or ACC1 were described by bar graph. Western blot was performed in triplicate. β-actin protein was used as an internal control. Statistical significant was determined using Student’s t-test. Values are mean ± SEM, # p < 0.05 compared to control, * p < 0.05 compared to NEFA-treated group. AOE, Alisma orientale extract; NEFA, non-esterified fatty acid; SDS-PAGE, sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis
