The negative control (−ve ctrl), was a measure of spontaneous hemolysis and contained PBS and erythrocytes only, in Drabkin’s reagent and the positive control (+ve ctrl) which shows 100 % hemolysis was obtained by mixing un-centrifuged erythrocytes in PBS with Drabkin’s reagent
