The hemolysis of sheep erythrocytes induced by exposure to the ethanol extract, alkaloid and saponin –enriched fraction. A plot of log EC50 versus percentage hemolysis were used to determine the concentration of the extract that caused a 50 % reduction in hemolysis. The percentage hemolysis for each sample was calculated according to the equation: Percentage hemolysis = (sample absorbance/positive control absorbance) × 100. Values are for mean ± SD for n = 6
