Effect of RCE on phosphorylation of AMPK and ACC in HepG2 cells.HepG2 cells were incubated in high-glucose medium (33 mM) for 16 h prior to the addition of the indicated concentrations of RCE or AICAR (2 mM). After pretreatment with RCE (μg/mL) for 6 h or AICAR for 2 h, p-AMPK and p-ACC expression levels were analyzed by western blotting (a). A quantitative analysis of the relative levels of p-AMPK (b) and p-ACC (c) was conducted.
