Figure 5 shows the effect of orally administered Curcuma Longa (CL) on microscopic ulcer score (MiUS) in rats before (b) and after (a) the induction of IBD. Note that CL, at doses of 1, 10 and 100 mg/kg caused a significant (P < 0.001) reduction in MiUS at different time points when compared to IBD control. *Significance difference between IBD and from Non IBD control; # Significance difference between CL-treated and IBD control (n = 6)
