Caspase-3 activity induced by H2O2 addition (800 or 1600 μM) and GOx (25 or 50 mU/ml) in ARPE-19 cells for 24 h. Control, C+ cells were untreated with H2O, C+ (the specific caspase-3 control). Cells were co-treated with 1600 μg/ml of Bucida buceras extract. Control GOx + CAT (50 mU/ml + catalase 200 U/ml) or control cells (untreated with H2O2).
