Inhibitory effects of VALE and OA on monocyte transmigration towards MCP-1. The effect of VALE and OA on transmigratory activity and on MCP-1 induced migratory activity of isolated fluorescence labelled monocytes was measured in a chemotaxis assay. Culture medium was used as negative and MCP-1 as positive control. Each bar represents the data of 3–4 independent experiments (mean fluorescence intensity ± SE; a.u. = arbitrary units). ***p < 0.001 compared to MCP-1 (LSD-test).
