NC: gastric mucosa in the normal control group, EtOH: gastric mucosa in the ethanol-treated group, Ome: gastric mucosa in the group treated with EtOH + omeprazole (50 mg/kg), SDTW: gastric mucosa in the group treated with EtOH + SDTW (200 mg/kg). The results are expressed as mean ± SD for seven rats. ##Significant difference at p < 0.01 and #at p < 0.05 compared with the NC group. **Significant difference at p < 0.01 compared with the EtOH group.
