Effect of CA on the expression of NFκB-p65, IκBα and p27 proteins. Y79 cells treated with CA (50 μM) for different time periods (0, 3, 6, 12, 24 and 48 h). Equal amounts of total protein (IκBα, p27and β-actin) and nuclear protein (NFκB-p65) (100 μg) was analysed by SDS- PAGE 7–12%, and after electrophoresis, proteins on the gel were transferred on to nitrocellulose membrane and probed with NFκB-p65, IκBα, p27and β-actin specific antibodies. Lane 1, 0 h; lane 2, 3 h; lane 3, 6 h; lane 4, 12 h; lane 5, 24 h; lane 6, 48 h. Bar graphs represents mean relative expression of protein normalised against β-actin.
