Cytotoxicity effects of the various concentrations of MeOHGCM6 extract and betamethasone on U937 monocytic cells. The proliferation rate of U937 monocytic cells treated with increasing concentrations of (A) MeOHGCM6 extract and (B) betamethasone was determined over a period of 24 hours by performing MTT assay. The percentage of cell proliferation is relative to the number of cells seeded prior to administrating the different doses of MeOHGCM6 extract and betamethasone. The concentrations of MeOHGCM6 extract that caused 30% (G130), 50% (G150) and 70% (G170) of cell proliferation inhibition were extrapolated from the plot (indicated by an arrow). Results were expressed as the median (25% and 75% quartile) from two independent experiments.
