Cellular profiles in BAL fluid and microscopic findings of the intrapulmonary bronchi. After sacrificing the mice, PBS buffer was slowly infused into the lungs and withdrawn via a cannula inserted into the trachea. The cell numbers were counted using a hemacytometer, and differential cell counts were performed on slides prepared by cytocentrifugation at 250 rpm for 3 min and Diff-Quick staining.
