Effect of cucurbitacin B on cell-cycle distribution. MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 were treated with 0, 2.5, and 5 μM cucurbitacin B for 24 hr, and then stained with propidium iodide (PI) before subjected to flow cytometric analysis. A. The cell cycle/DNA content histograms represent the cell population at each cell cycle phase as determined by the level of DNA content in each cucurbitacin B treatmented group.
