  1. 1DPPH free radical scavenging activity was measured in terms of equivalent of ascorbate (μM).
  2. 2Yeast oxidative stress was measured on the basis of survival of yeast cells (yeast growth) after treatment with H2O2.
  3. 3Total phenolics and flavonoid contents were expressed in gallic acid equivalent (GAE mg/g) and quercetin equivalent (QE mg/g) respectively.
  4. # Plants given in this table show significant correlation between their antioxidant activities and total phenolics / flavonoids contents. These plants are a subset of plants studied in this research (Table 1).
