The overexpression of antioxidative regulators by EGCG. The level of NFE2L2 (A) and HO-1 (B) proteins along with the expression of encoding genes (C and D, respectively) were measured to assess the state of upstream regulators of oxidative metabolism. It appears that in the animal model of pneumonia, the level of NFE2L2 and HO-1 decreased significantly, while the administration of EGCG caused a significant upregulation. The lowercase letters presented on the bars describe the result of the statistical analysis, where different letters indicate significant differences between groups; the p-value < 0.05 was considered significant
